    Direct Banking™ has a $4.95 monthly maintenance fee. Sandy Spring Bank will waive this fee if (i) the primary account owner is under the age of 25 OR (ii) during the monthly statement cycle qualifying direct deposits of at least $250.00 occur OR (iii) during the monthly statement cycle four (4) posted debit card purchase transactions totaling at least $50.00 are made. The direct deposit must originate from a paycheck, pension, social security or other monthly income electronically deposited. Transfers from one account to another or deposits made at the branch or ATM do not qualify as direct deposits. Check writing is not a feature of this account. 

    1In most cases, if you do not have enough available funds in your Direct Banking account to cover a transaction, Sandy Spring Bank will decline or return the transaction; however, Sandy Spring Bank may authorize an overdraft payment at its sole discretion. You will not be charged a fee for a declined or returned transaction or an overdraft payment in connection with a Direct Banking account.

    2To send or receive money with Zelle®, both parties must have an eligible checking or savings account. Transactions between enrolled users typically occur in minutes.
